About

For 2018’s 4th edition of the Cabinet de l’Art, |THE SWITCH presents ‘Stay Fruity!’ by Basile Jeandin & Skoya Assémat-Tessandier, a pop up shop built as a scenario within the gallery space, showcasing the Artists’ Surf Cultural aspiration & heritage.

Some like it fast & furious, we like it slow & fruity. It’s all about the grace, it’s all about the love, it’s all about the glide - we’re not here to compete, and we’re definitely not here to prove anything to ourselves nor to others. Here to be, here to flee, together in unity.
None of it is ours, none of it is yours - we’re just a lucky bunch - cherish it while it lasts, cuz’ it sure won’t be forever. No origins, no borders, no segmentation, and without a doubt no segregation. Crispy salty skins, whether you boardshort it or skill’ it with a hoodie.
If you can’t share it with us, we’ll for sure share it with you - in any case we’ll keep a banana smile on our face. Peachy cheeks. Strawberry eyes. High on tides. As easy as it gets - be raspberry happy. (Shit. I might just got a speed ticket - oh well, I’ll go and eat/ grab a courgette.)
Shaka bra’…stay fruity!

— Fruities (a.k.a Fruity fruit fruit) Surf Club

Open most days about 9 or 10. Occasionally as early as 7, and sometimes as late as 12 or 1. We close about 7:30 or 8. Occasionally as early as 4 or 5, and sometimes as late as midnight, or later. On some days we are not here at all, but lately we have been here a lot, unless surf’s up, then we are not here at all.
